The Bamenda City Wide Approach Platform resolved to meet every three months and also to meet in extra-ordinary sessions whenever the need arose. The cultural package, which the city of Bamenda was to prepare for Dordrecht, was to be considered as a matter of priority in this give-and-take relation between the two cities. A particular point of emphasis here was the up-coming cultural jamboree to mark the 50 years of the reign of the Fon of Mankon scheduled for the 19th of December 2009, as well as a planned cultural week to exhibit Bamenda through all its cultural facets, events to which it was hoped the city of Dordrecht shall be an integral part of.
A lot of attention was paid to the terms of the 2009 Protocol of Cooperation signed by the two cities in Dordrecht on the 22nd of September 2009, and the Bamenda City Wide Approach Platform pledged to take its responsibilities as per this document very seriously. The meeting ended with group pictures and a lot of camaraderie, fraternity and the determination to work hand in hand for the development of Bamenda and for the improvement of the living standards of the people of this city of friendship and hospitality.
